Clay County Middle School

"At CCMS, expectations are high and self-esteem is higher."

The Clay County Middle School was established in 1991 to meet the educational needs of the student through a cooperative school, home, and community effort.  We are here to assure that each student has ample opportunity and time to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to be a productive member of a changing, global society.  It is our hope that each student will obtain a positive sense of self-worth, will become and effective communicator and problem solver, and will continue as a life-long learner.

The Kentucky Center for School Safety announces Kentucky Safe Schools Week observance will be October 19-25, 2014.  This year’s theme “LEAN on Me; Stop the Bullying!”  will focus on the culture/environment of the school and the interdependence of students and staff to make the their school safe, warm and welcoming.

To ensure that all environments in Kentucky schools are safe,

I pledge to  (check if you agree):

Lean on others in school when I need help and allow others to lean on me.
Excel at treating all students and staff how I want to be treated.
Achieve relationships with adults in my school so I will feel safe.
Notice and report when another needs help; tell an adult, send an online tip or use a bully/tip box.
